Glenn Armstrong, self made property millionaire and TV celebrity arrives in Brighton next month to attend the Sussex Property Networking Club.

Glenn, 50 years old has a personal portfolio of 192 properties worth over £30 million which was built up from nothing in just 3.5 years.
Glenn has recently appeared on Channel 4’s How the other Half Live. A documentary series that aims to show what it means to grow up in poverty in 21st-century Britain.
In each episode, a wealthy family decides to assist one that is living below the poverty line. Glenn, his wife Mandy and son Reece help the family to realise their dreams and improve the family’s living conditions.

Former Airline Steward offers FREE property investment workshops

Sean Toole 44, from Hove, a former British Airways Steward is offering Free Workshops for those wondering how to get started in property.

Sean who runs the Sussex Property Networking Club, along with partner Sophie Mahir, Business Coach and Trainer, is offering Free workshops in Brighton.

The first of a two part interactive workshop ‘How to make money from property with little or no cash’ will be on Tuesday 5th October from 3-30pm – 5-30pm at Jury’s Inn Hotel, 101 Stroudley Street, Brighton BN1 4DJ. Part 2, “Beginners Guide to Property Investing” will be on Tuesday 2nd November at the same venue.

Sean an employee for over 20 years said ” I remember not having the time, skills or money to invest in property and thought the prospect of investing was very scary. I was always looking for help to get started in property without being charged a fortune for the information. After learning new skills, education and buying property, people began asking me how to get started. The workshop just seemed an obvious solution, its really a new way attend a taster session without any risk.”
Sean bought his first property Crawley in 1992 and rented out the two spare rooms paying his mortgage for the next 6 years. Sean said “I lived mortgage free for the first 6 years and this really helped me to save for my next property when I moved to Hove.”

Its not every day you go to a property investment seminar and walk away thinking about how good the presenter is! Several years ago I did just that, and the presenter was Maria Davies.

I met Maria again, more recently when I invited her to speak at the Sussex Property Networking Club in Brighton. An affective and persuasive communicator Maria delighted our audience with her speech “It shouldnt happen to a property investor!” Her presentation and sales skills have been honed to a high level over the years to the point where she was introduced on stage by Robert Kiyosaki himself! (Entrepreneur and Best selling Author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”)

Maria shares her experience by helping others to fine tune their own presentations and selling skills from her website Ladders of Success Interestingly, her favourite supplier of curry dishes, the spice of life, declared they were closing their business for good. Forever the Entrepreneur, Maria decided to buy the business lock, stock and barrel, declaring “I liked the curries so much I decided to buy the Company!”

The Sussex Property Networking Club based in Brighton has secured sponsorship deals from two local Sussex companies.

The club which holds its monthly meetings at the Hilton Metropole, Brighton was started by local professional property investor Sean Toole. I’m Sean Toole, and I used to work for British Airways as cabin crew. After 19 years working there, I recently accepted voluntary redundancy and went after my great passion instead: investing in property.

I started my own company selling property in the Caribbean as low cost investment opportunities which seem to be particularly attractive to people who are retiring, or young people want to take on a new, lucrative adventure in life.

My history in property investment
I live in Brighton and Hove and I’ve been investing in property since 1992. I started investing in Crawley before moving down to Hove – as I moved, I bought properties which I then refurbished, I also worked on several off-plan developments, which are properties that have not yet been fully constructed.

As a result of my experiences, it occurred to me how simple buying off-plan really is, there are often several price increases during the development making the purchase so much more valuable at completion .

What I learned from BA.
I worked at British Airways since 1990 and in that time I saw so many changes in the airline industry; airlines are becoming much more cost conscious and that affects the workforce whose pay and conditions are being eroded over time. As a result, it was necessary to take my fate into my own hands and opt for a more exciting and challenging way of life.

When I worked for BA I visited Barbados and St Lucia a number of times. I have to admit that I developed a taste for the 5 Star holiday lifestyle – it then seemed natural to start my own company. At first I found it difficult to find someone I trusted with my money, so I thought it might be easier to start investing myself and then show others how to do the same.

People have been struggling through the recession, trying to find ways to invest their money wisely. Sometimes its just best to get together and talk about it, share experiences and find new ways of doing things. The Sussex Property Networking club is the first of its kind to give people that space to learn from each other.

It can be difficult, even for an experienced property investor, to know how to safely put  money into property and still get a good return. People who are just getting started on the property investment ladder can now finally meet with experts who have been doing it for years.

How it works: A property expert speaks on their chosen field of expertise for about one hour along with a question and answer session to complete the presentation. The latter half of the meeting is set aside for networking.

Sean Toole, who left British Airways in Novemeber 2009  to concentrate on his career in property investment, has now set up the Sussex Property Networking Club. This is a monthly event where people gather to learn from peers and from professionals about how to invest succesfully in property. Property experts share their knowledge and skills with each other in a relaxed and informal way to get a better understanding of the industry.

The club meets on the First Tuesday of every month at the Hilton Metropole, Kings Road, Brighton BN1 2FU. Networking and registration start from 5-45pm with the meeting opening at 6-30pm.

Sean Toole, 43, from Hove was working for British Airways for 19 years as a Cabin Crew Purser. Last November he accepted Voluntary Redundancy and now pursues his passion for helping people in property investing. He founded the Sussex Property Networking Club in September last year and is also the host who introduces the property experts to the audience. Sean was previously the President of the Brighton and Hove Speakers Club and more recently has also started his own company called “Off Plan Luxury Property” specialising in Caribbean off plan investment opportunities.

The Sussex Property Networking Club has supports an official charity called ‘Epilepsy Bereaved’ a charity close to the heart of the Club’s founder Sean Toole.
